Therapies & Tools

Over the years, I’ve chosen therapies and tools that allow me to work at the level of detail my practice demands, supporting patients across Chelsea and London.

These tools and therapies support the hands-on assessment and rehabilitation plan and they’re selected case by case.

Manuthera 242

The Manuthera 242 is an advanced spinal treatment table designed for detailed assessment and precise, three-dimensional mobilisation. It allows controlled positioning and movement of the spine, supporting targeted manual therapy for back pain, disc-related symptoms, scoliosis, and joint restrictions.

By combining innovative technology with clinical reasoning, treatment can be tailored more precisely, focused on restoring movement, reducing pain, and supporting long-term spinal health.

Spinal Mobilisation

Spinal mobilisation is a precise manual therapy technique using controlled, gentle movements to improve joint mobility and reduce pain. It is particularly effective for back pain, neck stiffness, and movement restrictions within the spine.

Treatment is adapted to your specific condition and assessment findings, helping restore normal spinal function and supporting long-term recovery.

High Power Laser

High-Power Laser Therapy (LightForce® 40W) uses targeted photobiomodulation to reduce pain, decrease inflammation, and accelerate tissue healing. It is especially helpful in cases of disc-related symptoms, tendon injuries, joint irritation, and persistent musculoskeletal pain.

Integrated into a structured rehabilitation plan, it supports faster recovery and improved functional outcomes.

Inflammation · Disc symptoms · Tendon injury · Joint pain · Tissue healing

SHOCKWAVE

Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) is a non-invasive treatment that uses targeted acoustic waves to stimulate tissue regeneration and promote healing. It is commonly used for chronic tendon pain, plantar fasciitis, shoulder conditions, and other persistent soft tissue injuries.

Shockwave can help reduce long-standing pain and restore function where symptoms have not responded to rest or standard treatment.

Chronic tendon pain · Plantar fasciitis · Shoulder pain · Soft tissue injury · Persistent symptoms

Compression

Compression Therapy supports circulation and lymphatic drainage to reduce muscle soreness and assist recovery. It can be particularly helpful following intense activity, prolonged loading, or periods of reduced movement.

By improving blood flow and tissue oxygenation, it helps restore mobility and supports faster return to activity.

Electrotherapy/ Ultrasound

Electrotherapy and therapeutic ultrasound are evidence-based modalities used to reduce pain and support tissue healing. Electrotherapy stimulates muscles and nerves to improve activation and circulation, while ultrasound delivers deep mechanical energy to promote repair within irritated tissues.

Both are integrated into a personalised rehabilitation plan to enhance recovery safely and effectively,  within my Chelsea-based practice.

SMART CUPPING

Smart Cupping Therapy is a modern, controlled vacuum therapy designed to improve circulation and reduce myofascial tension. Adjustable intensity allows targeted treatment of restricted or overloaded tissues.

It supports mobility, reduces muscular tightness, and complements manual therapy within a structured rehabilitation programme.

Muscle tightness · Circulation · Mobility · Recovery · Soft tissue restriction

Soft Tissue Massage

Soft Tissue Massage is a hands-on therapy aimed at relieving muscular tension and improving tissue flexibility. It is particularly useful for stiffness, overuse patterns, and postural loading.

By reducing discomfort and restoring tissue mobility, it forms an important part of many rehabilitation programmes.

Muscle tension · Stiffness · Postural strain · Soft tissue restriction · Recovery
